Applies to: Pi4 Gateways using Shadow Router for Connectivity
Use Case: Locations with over 20 machines. Max Machine Limit of 70
Physical Installation (Failure to follow these instructions may cause poor system connectivity)
- Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the internet source (cable modem, network switch etc.) and the other end to the Gateway.
- Connect the USB-C power supply to the Gateway and then to the power source, using the appropriate adapter provided.
- Connect the Gateway to the Shadow Router using the USB-to-Ethernet Adapter. Use a blue USB port on the Gateway and the WAN port on the Shadow Router.
- The Shadow Router and Gateway should be physically separated using the full length of the ethernet cable (3 feet, 1 meter) to ensure maximum distance between the two devices.
- Do not install within 10 feet of other 2.4 GHz network devices.
- Position the Alliance Gateway with a clear line of site to the Alliance laundry equipment.
- Do not mount or position the Gateway on or behind obstructions such as metal surfaces, piping, or concrete structures.
- Attach both antennas to the Shadow Router, pointing them at a 45-degree angle towards the Alliance laundry equipment.
- Connect the Micro-USB power supply to the Shadow Router and then to the power source, using the appropriate adapter provided.
